About WRTA FLEX

What is the WRTA’s FLEX Route?

The Northwest FLEX Route is a flexible service from the Worcester Regional Transit Authority (WRTA) designed to offer convenient transportation within the Northwest Corridor area and easy connections to several of the WRTA’s regular scheduled service routes.

Riders can travel between major points on the FLEX Route just like any normal bus route, including direct access to Park Ave, which was never before available. The FLEX Route uses a 20-person minibus for easy access and maneuverability throughout the area’s residential streets.

How to Ride

Riders can travel between regular stops on the FLEX Route just like any normal bus route. Simply locate a stop along the route, and consult the schedule. Connections to the WRTA’s regular routes are available at several stops.

Riders can request a Standard FLEX off the regular route to several popular locations in the area. Additionally, riders have the unique option to By-Request FLEX up to a quarter-mile off the normal bus route to allow curb-to-curb service unlike any conventional fixed service.

A Standard FLEX or a By-Request FLEX can be scheduled by calling the WRTA Customer Service Center at

(508) 752-9283 (option 4) at least two hours in advance. Only one Standard FLEX and two By-Request FLEXes can be scheduled per round trip.
